Chatting with Red Tailed Hawk

As I rounded a corner on my walk this morning, I was just finishing visualizing being showered on by beautiful sundrenched water. A lovely “cleansing” feeling! On the curb in my path was a gorgeous red tailed hawk. I stopped politely of course and instead of flying off, she hopped up on a low speed sign and took a good eye level look at me. I approached slowly to within 10 feet and Hawk didn’t seem to mind at all. In fact, as I got closer, I heard “chattering” coming from her, so I said “good morning my beauty”, and back and forth we bantered for a while. Hawk never opened her great beak, the soft sound was coming directly from her throat.

I was forced to slow down, stop, be fully aware, enjoy the gift in front of me, and take my time before moving on. I suspect this was the message intended ~:o} Thank you Spirit Red Tailed Hawk.

Always be conscious of the messages from Spirit Animals and the Great Mother all around you every day. Hugs.

Change, Danger, Opportunity and the Bear

I once learned that the Chinese symbol for “Change” was made up of two characters; “Danger” and “Opportunity”. This has alwasy stuck in my head because it is a great reminder of how we all tend to react to, and deal with, change. Some folks see only the danger, become frozen with fear, and remain stuck in directionless vortex. Other folks jump stright to the opportunity which is certainly the positive way to view things, but throwing caution to the wind can have it’s surprise consequences too.

Spirit Bear is still hanging by my side. I get it that it is time to set foot on a new path in my life (have already set one foot), but Bear is telling me something about this. The wise Bear does not not back away nor barrel forward when faced with change; Bear patiently climbs straight up to the highest vantage point available and carefully observes what lay ahead and all around. From this high view, Bear will look deep within himself for answers to his own questions on how to approach this new challenge. It is quiet up here, no noise, open to the heavens above, a clear view of the Earth below, and surrounded by the currents of the wind carrying the whisperings of Spirit.

We cannot grow if we do not experience the challenge and opportunity of change. I am grateful for the appearance of Bear and all the Spirit Animal guides that accompany me on this journey called life.

Stepping on the New Path

Well Spirit Bear spoke nothing but the truth to me! On Monday, I did indeed set foot on a new path. As I sat there that evening chatting with my hubby about how difficult this enexpected “change” might be to deal with both from a moving forward perspective, and from rationalizing the forgiving of certain “unkind actions/words” people choose to throw at fellow souls…a hummingbird flew right up to us and just hovered there for several seconds not three feet from our faces! So light, free and yet so strong and purposeful.

In an instant the message from Hummingbird seemed to be; “Even the smallest of beings can accomplish amazing feats when you call on the strength, love, power, and collective conciuosness of the universe. If what you do is always for the greater good, good will be given back in return – just keep moving forward”.

This path called “life” is meant to keep moving forward on. There is no point in just sitting there on a stump in the road. Keeping all senses tuned to our Spirit Animal guides that lovingly follow or meet us along the way, will only serve to keep the pathway well lit.

In Gratitude,

Dreamspace Images

In that in between place (Dreamspace) that lies somwhere between deep sleep and waking up, I had a dream that was more like an odd “vision” this morning. There are three very clear things I woke up remebering and thinking about all day: 1. A great floating mountain whose strong rocky roots connected to the rocky roots of its own mirror image inverted mountain – all seeming to be floating in the blue. 2. A great pool of brilliant yellow color – canary yellow and very good feeling, almost liquid. 3. A great grizzly bear in my right vision scope, his great brown head and soulful eyes looking deeply into mine. I wanted to reach out and touch his nose! I didn’t want to leave this dreamspace, I felt very drawn to…something. I am sure the message will come to me in about a week or so! Spirit Bear was trying to tell me! Dreams usually work this strange and wonderful way ~:o}

Off to Dreamspace again! Sleep Sweet Critters ~:o}

Spirit Shark Medicine

Because someone I love is bravely having a fight with cancer, I can’t help but think about SHARKS. Sharks in physical form are amazing critters with ancient Earth roots – they might even be considered a “perfect life form”, why? Because of their incredible immune systems. Their immune systems are much like that of an infant human – simple and designed to ward off any infection in general. Plus they have some extra glands that other vertebra don’t have. A mystery!

Anyways…where am I going with this?? I am going to give strong thought and meditation on connecting with the Spirit of Shark to expore how they can help us learn and practice this biological knowledge.

If a loved one dealing with cancer could use the protection and guidance of any Spirit Animal, it would be the Ancient Shark. Healing begins within ourselves and getting to the root of what emotional or environmental element we allowed to break through our own defences (immune system) in the first place. I think Spirit Shark may have much to teach by way of warding off cancer cell development…and healing.
